I guess you all know by now that we have been delayed. No work permit-no go. We are hoping that the paperwork comes in on Monday and then we can fly out on Wednesday. Crossing our fingers. In the meantime, we had a p-day yesterday to do some shopping, and another p-day today to do some sledding(Sista Wettstein really wants to do it) with Am and the kids and then Elder Wettstein may have to suffer and go to a BYU B-Ball game in the afternoon. We'll stay at Elena's house Sat. and Sunday and then back to Purvis's on Monday until we go. Still freezing here and another snowstorm is coming in by Monday. You can have Utah weather. It 87 degrees in Fiji and I think we can handle it. Got down to 8 degrees one of the mornings we were in the MTC. Will keep you posted and will post some snow pictures soon. Dad

Are you really even on a mission?
Asher is learning the ropes by being the experimented on by his sister. He is walking now freely and even threw his first tantrum today which was documented by Ami. It was a great one.
All of the kids and Ami are getting over colds. I tell Ami that it is my superior genes and super hygiene regimen that prevent me from getting sick.
To tell you the truth Mom and Dad I do not miss you yet. I have been able to talk to Mom and Dad so much that it does not seem like they are even gone yet. Maybe when I see Mom's foto of her in her swimsuit on the beach of Fiji I will actually believe it.
Here are some fun pics of the kids. Asher covered in dirt and Juel shooting darts with her eyes.
The Acosta Family
We are finally connected, of course I needed a little help from Claudia but here we are. We are proud of ya'll and hope that you enjoy your time away from the big city. April always says that when the moon is out here, then the sun is out in Fiji. We miss you already. We hope the weather and the people are warm. We love you!!

MTC Update
We finished our first week and survived. 8 am to 8 pm everyday. It was fun but glad that it is over. We were sprung by Amber last night and stayed at Elena's house. Went to the temple with Aunt Cindy this morning and are going to a sendoff for Megan's husband tonight as he is going to be posted to Afganistan for 1 year. Should see most of the family there. This coming week is Temple training and then we are off to Fiji on Friday afternoon. It's been cold and snowy but bearable. Will be glad to get to the warm Fiji weather. Mom did real well with the language training and will be able to handle herself when we get there.
Well dear loved ones; our adventure has begun. We have 2 single sisters in our group of about 24 couples. Anyways one sister had blood clots and became very ill and had blood clots in her right leg. The doc said it was sorta common and that he thought it was the chairs. Finally she came back to our group. My ankles both burned and had this terrible shooting pain started in both legs .We went from class I would keep my feet moving the table, but the pain kept getting worse. I thought what the sister had told me. Then the pain started moving up both legs. Finally I could not sit in my language class. The pain by now was in both hips. I went to bed and had to decide what to do. I decided that the clots had moved as fast as the had, that they were tiny. Amber picked us up and they were in the middle of my back. I will never sit in a chair like that again. God watches over fools and old ladies-I am in both groups. My legs felt on fire! All is well! Love mom.
